The Mattie H. Ware Community Fund works to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens and families in Detroit and Wayne County by addressing critical issues and needs that impact their health, safety, and welfare on a daily basis. Programs focus on healthy living and life styles; social, cultural and financial empowerment; educational and leadership development training; mentoring and caregiving for physically and mentally challenged individuals; and resource referral assistance for seniors and families.

ST. ROSE SENIOR CENTER
A place where active senior citizens gather to continue their personal growth. An outreach program providing services to seniors in the community who are home-bound, including: transportation, daily meals, referrals, prescription assistance, tax assistance, in-home services, friendly visiting, telephone support. Daily activities at the center for seniors: bingo, shopping, crafts, exercise, field trips, parties, enrichment classes, volunteer opportunities. Focus Hope food service.
